White Horses
The waves gallop.
We are surfing on white horses.

An Emu Stole My Sandwich
When I went to the zoo an emu stole my sandwich.
No-one messes with an Emu!
“What was that for!?” I said.
I felt like smacking him on the butt!
But no-one should steal a ladies sandwich!

I miss Piper so very much.
When I see blue I am reminded of Piper.
When I see brown it reminds me of Piper’s eyes.
White reminds me of Piper because I love her and Piper’s fur was white.
Piper was not just a pet she was a part of the family and that is why I miss Piper so very much.
She played a very big part in my life.

There’s A Snake In Me
There’s a snake in me…
small sharp delicate teeth
for eating and defence –
a fork like tongue
for smelling and tasting
the air-
I keep that snake because
the wilderness gave it to me
